TREES PLEASE

What we do
Our Story
Our Story
Trees Please is a Cork based voluntary group, that was set up in 2019 when a group of like-minded tree enthusiasts came together. Our collective aim is to grow and propagate as many native trees as possible, and we encourage others to do the same through our tree distribution days and community engagement activities. Not only are trees beautiful to have in our surroundings and of benefit to our mental health, they are essential to our survival and a key species in countering the dangers of climate change. We plant trees to improve ecosystem biodiversity for all living beings, and for the well-being of generations to come.

New collaborators and volunteers are always welcomed.
Tree Nurseries
Tree Nurseries
We have a number of tree nurseries around Cork city where we grow native Irish trees from seed ourselves. This involves the use of land and gardens owned privately by our volunteers, and thanks to Cork City Council we have the use of an allotment in Churchfield on the northside of Cork city.
Community Engagement
Tree Nurseries
We’ve organised various community engagements down the years, from guided forest walks, tree planting days, seed saving outings, St. Bridgid cross making, quizzes and more.
